BBQ repair: burners, igniters, leaks & parts
Grill won't light, burns unevenly or smells like gas? Our mobile technicians diagnose and repair all major BBQ brands right at your home.
Diagnosis and repair
BBQs are simple machines, but a lot can go wrong over the years. Uneven heating, ignition failures, low flame and gas smells are all common. We start with a full inspection to find the cause: blocked or corroded burners, a faulty ignition system, a sticking valve or a worn regulator.
Once we find the problem, we fix it with quality replacement parts that suit your grill's make and model. After the repair we run safety checks, including a leak test, proper airflow and a test-fire of every burner.
Parts we replace
- Burners: clogged, cracked or rusted-through burners replaced for even heat
- Ignition systems: new igniters and electrodes so the grill lights first time
- Cooking grates & flavorizer bars: new grates and bars when the old ones are corroded beyond cleaning
- Heat plates & drip trays: replaced when rusted or damaged, to control grease and flare-ups
- Hoses, regulators & valves: replaced when worn or leaking
Gas leak detection
A gas leak is the most dangerous problem a BBQ can have, and it's often the reason a grill won't get hot. We check the fittings, hose, valves and orifices. If we find a leak, we fix it straight away by replacing the damaged part and making sure every connection is sealed.

What our customers say
“I want to thank Adrian and Daniel for the amazing job they performed cleaning my bbq. It looks great, almost new, and they even unclogged one of the burners that wasn't working properly. Will use their service again.”
“Adrian’s work is superb. I’m so happy with the result. My bbq was looking terrible and he came in and has methodically cleaned it and made it look new. On top of that he spent time with me giving me advice and tips on prolonging the life of the bbq.”
“We’ve had our Napoleon BBQ for several years and, admittedly, have not done a great job with the cleaning and maintenance. After a quick Google search, we reached out to Adrian at Grill Guardians and after sending him a picture, he quickly came back with a quote and a time. To say he did a tremendous job is a massive understatement. He arrived on time, as promised, and got to work restoring my grill to like new condition.”
Frequently asked questions
How much does a BBQ repair cost?
It depends on the part. We diagnose the problem first and give you a price for the part and labour before doing anything.
Is it worth repairing my BBQ or should I replace it?
If the firebox and body are solid, replacing burners, igniters or grates usually costs a fraction of a new grill. We'll give you an honest opinion.
Can you combine a repair with a cleaning?
Yes, and it's the most efficient way to do it, because the grill is already apart.
I smell gas. What should I do?
Turn off the gas at the tank or supply valve and don't use the grill. Then give us a call so we can find and fix the leak.
